Open DID Foundation (hereinafter referred to as "Foundation") values your personal information and complies with the "Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection."
Through our privacy policy, we inform you about the purposes and methods of using the personal information you provide, as well as the measures taken to protect your personal information.
In the event of any revisions to the privacy policy, the Association will notify through website announcements (or individual notices).

1. Collection of Personal Information and Collection Methods

The Foundation collects the following personal information for membership registration, consultation, service application, etc.

① Information Collected: Name, ID, Password, Email, Phone Number, Connection Logs, Cookies, Company Name, Position, Business Address
② Collection Methods: Website (membership registration, bulletin board), Written Forms (membership application form)

2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information

The Foundation utilizes the collected personal information for the following purposes:

① Membership registration and management : Verification of identity for using membership services, personal identification, prevention of improper use and unauthorized use by members, confirmation of membership intentions, handling complaints and inquiries, delivery of notifications
② Board Management : Verification of identity for using question boards and member boards, blocking spam and advertising posts from malicious users
③ Event Registration and Management : Understanding event participant registration status, sending event information via SMS, determining participant registration status, and informing about future similar events
④ Recruitment Management : Recruitment management for seeking proactive and creative talents to join the Association
⑤ Utilization for Marketing and Advertising : Sending newsletters via email, understanding user visit frequency, or statistical analysis of member information for marketing and advertising purposes

3. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information

① he Foundation processes and retains personal information within the period agreed upon by the information subject or as stipulated by law.
② Generally, the Foundation destroys the information without delay once the purpose of collection and use has been achieved or when the member withdraws

4. Destruction of Personal Information

The personal information of users is generally destroyed without delay once the purpose of collection and use has been achieved.
The Foundation’s procedures and methods for the destruction of personal information are as follows:

① Destruction Procedure
- A) Information provided by users for service use is transferred to a separate database (or a separate document file in the case of paper documents) after the purpose has been achieved. It is then stored for a certain period according to internal policies and other relevant laws for information protection (refer to retention and use period) before being destroyed.
- B) Personal information transferred to a separate database will not be used for any purpose other than retention unless required by law.
② Destruction Methods
- A) Personal information printed on paper: shredded or incinerated
- B) Personal information stored in electronic files: deleted using a technology that ensures the records cannot be regenerated

5. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The personal information of users is generally not provided to external parties. However, exceptions are made in the following cases:

① When users have given prior consent
② When required by law or upon request by investigative agencies in accordance with the procedures and methods prescribed by law for investigative purposes

6. Entrustment of Personal Information

The Foundation does not entrust your information to external companies without your consent. In the future, if there is such a need, we will notify you of the entrusted party and the content of the entrusted task, and obtain your prior consent if necessary.

7. Rights of Users and Legal Representatives and How to Exercise Them

① Users and legal representatives can at any time view or modify personal information of themselves or children under the age of 14 who are registered, and may also request withdrawal of consent (termination of membership).
② To view or modify personal information of users or children under the age of 14, after logging in, you can access 'Change Personal Information' in the member area. To withdraw consent (terminate membership), after logging in, click 'Withdraw Membership' in the member area, go through the identity verification process, and then you can directly view, correct, or withdraw. Alternatively, you can contact the Personal Information Protection Manager in writing, by phone, or by email, and we will promptly take action after verifying your identity.
③ If you request correction of personal information errors, we will not use or provide the relevant personal information until the correction is complete. Furthermore, if incorrect personal information has already been provided to a third party, we will promptly notify the third party of the correction results to ensure that the correction is made without delay.
④ Personal information terminated or deleted at the request of users by the Foundation will be processed according to the "Retention and Use Period of Personal Information collected by the Foundation" and will not be accessed or used for any other purpose.

8. Installation/Operation and Refusal of Automatic Collection Devices for Personal Information

The Foundation operates 'cookies' and similar technologies to store and retrieve information of users (visitors) on a regular basis. Cookies are very small text files sent by the server operating a website to your browser, and they are stored on your computer's hard drive.

① Purposes of Using Cookies
Analyzing the frequency of visits and visit times of members and non-members, rejecting pop-up windows
You have the option to choose whether to install cookies. Therefore, you can allow all cookies by setting options in your web browser, confirm each time a cookie is saved, or refuse to save all cookies.
② Refusal of Cookie Settings
You can refuse cookie setting by selecting options in the web browser you are using to allow all cookies, prompt confirmation each time a cookie is saved, or refuse to save all cookies.
Example of Settings (for Internet Explorer): Select Internet Options from the Tools menu > Click on the Privacy tab > Adjust the privacy settings.
However, please note that if you refuse to install cookies, there may be difficulties in providing the service.

You can report any complaints related to the protection of personal information arising from your use of the Foundation’s services to the Personal Information Management Officer or the relevant department. The Association will promptly provide sufficient answers to users' reports.

10. Changes to Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy will be effective from June 10, 2024.
